Mandi
Overview
Mandi town sits on the banks of the Beas and is often called 'Chhoti Kashi' for its large number of old stone temples. The district is a road hub connecting Shimla, Kullu and Kangra, and contains high-altitude lakes such as Prashar and Rewalsar as well as the quiet Barot valley.

A high lake at about 2,730 m with a three-storey pagoda temple to the sage Prashar on its bank, roughly 50 km north of Mandi.

Shikari Devi Temple
Janjehli
A roofless hilltop shrine to the goddess Shikari Devi at about 3,330 m, one of the highest points in Mandi district, reached by a short steep trek from Janjehli.
