The Tirthan valley runs east from Banjar along the Tirthan river towards the boundary of the Great Himalayan National Park. It has stayed low-key: small guesthouses and homestays along the river, angling for brown trout (with a permit), and day walks to waterfalls, the Serolsar area and the park's ecozone at Rolla. The village of Gushaini is the usual base. It is often combined with nearby Jibhi and Jalori Pass.
